House training your Pomeranian should be expected to be completed in 2 weeks time, IF you are dedicated, consistent, and diligent. To train your puppy you need to have a small, enclosed area (4x4 or 3x3 works well) to put your puppy in when it’s not with you. NEVER give your puppy access to your entire home unsupervised (out of your sight) until it is completely potty trained. Keep your puppy with you at all times during training, unless you put the puppy in it’s small enclosure, which should contain a doggy bed, food, water, and toys.
To house train your puppy, you need to take your puppy outside every 1 to 2 hours. Always use the same door (You don’t want to confuse your puppy). Every time your puppy wakes up, take it outside to go potty. Then restart your timer for the 1.5 - 2 hours, when the timer goes off, it’s time to take the puppy back outside.
If you see your puppy going in circles with the puppy’s nose smelling the floor, quickly pick the puppy up and take it outside to avoid an accident. You must act very quickly if you see this, they are just seconds away from going potty.
If you want to save repairs down the road, either install a doggy door, or get a desk bell that they can ring if they need to go outside instead of scratching the door. Then to make sure they know why the bell is there, take their paw, and ring the bell every time you take them outside, and they will learn that if the bell rings, they go outside to go potty.
